Karmic Koala is Here!
Well today is the official release of Ubuntu 9.10 (a.k.a. Karmic Koala) and let me tell you it is one of the best releases so far of Ubuntu I have seen.

Added Entries
Yesterday I added all the posts from my Misadventures in Linux page which I blogged 46 days of running Ubuntu 9.04. I am glad to say that I am still running under Linux and as of right now I am using the release candidate for Karmic Koala which is releasing later today (10/29).
The reason for adding these entries is because I am trying to consolidate my websites a little. And the subdomains albeit a great idea for making some little blogs, I have decided that this will be my primary blog for all of the things I want to talk about.
So enjoy! And subscribe to the feed if you want to be updated of new posts.
Linus Torvalds gives Windows 7 a big thumbs up
Microsoft tried to torpedo the success of the Japan Linux Symposium by launching their Windows 7 product that same day. They even had setup a big promotion booth across the street from the conference center.
During a break, we decided to make some fun of Microsoft and dragged Linus over there. When we arrived there, Linus was sold immediately on the product as you can see in the picture. At least that’s what the sales guy thought. He obviously had no idea who he was dealing with. But in the end Linus surprisingly did not buy a copy. Wise man!
